Yellow, Orange, Pink and Purple + Glitter look with Sugarpill Cosmetics

Soooo I was wondering if anyone would be up for trading some specific stuff with me. I'm interested in getting Sugarpill's loose eyeshadows, but I don't have room for the jars right now, nor do I want to pay $12 a jar for stuff I might not care for that much. I would like some samples in tiny baggies to save room. So I thought I would ask anyone who has the shadows if you would like to trade some samples with me so that I may try them. If anyone is interested, lemme know! Of course I have lotsa Aromaleigh shadows, TKB shadows/glitter, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars, Fyrinnae shadows etc. available to make samples to trade.
Please contact me if you wanna work something out: em at moonmaiden dot us

Thanks!

Now here's the look. It's more vibrant than I normally do. Jason said I look like I was beat up by a clown...
I'll have a more toned down look coming for you tomorrow.

Exercise for 9-26-10 Kickboxing with Sharon Mann

I've done a post on this before. I still like doing this workout and my thoughts are pretty much the same so I copied them from the last time. :-) The only difference is I'm quite sore from doing it this time and I wasn't last time. I don't know why exactly but my calves and butt are sore. Maybe I was squating lower and jumping more than usual. Not really sure. Was a good workout overall.

Details: This fully-interactive DVD is simply sensational. Offering a huge selection of Cardio based workouts including: Step,
Kickboxing, Boot Camp, HILO & more! Choose from
a number of pre-programmed workouts or design your
own using the fully interactive menu.  There are three
different levels of fitness for all exercises. The people on
the left side of your screen are working at a beginners
level, the people on the right are advanced level. Sharon
will be doing the intermediate level in the middle as well as
beginner & advanced. With all the choices offered on this
one disc, you can create over 1000 different workout combinations!

Pre programmed workouts include:

HILO WORKOUT,   BOOT CAMP WORKOUT,
STEP WORKOUT,   BOXING WORKOUT,  +
Mixed Hilo,  Athletic Step,  HILO Drills,  Step Circuit, Interval Training,  Military Training,  Kickboxing + More!

My thoughts:
I tried to find a video for this particular DVD but couldn't. There doesn't seem to be anything on youtube from what I can tell. I did the pre-programmed kickboxing workout. It's a little over 30 minutes total. The warm up is tai chi, then the middle segments are non-stop kicking/punching combos and some plyometrics, the cool down is some elbow striking while in horse stance (doesn't feel like much of a cool down OMG!), followed with stretching.
This workout is action packed and makes me sweat. It's still not nearly as hard or evil as Cathe's workouts. But like I said, in between the hardcore workouts, I do lighter ones.
Sharon workouts can be awesome or kinda of weird in regards to her instruction. Sometimes she seems all with it while others, she will do something on one side of the body for 16 counts and then do the same thing on the other side for 24 counts. Why? I have no idea but I believe it's a booboo. So whatever mistakes I notice, I adjust myself to make up for it. Other than that, I'd say her DVD's are great for everyone since she offers something for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels. She shows people on the left doing beginner versions of the exercise, on the right shows people doing advanced versions, while Sharon does intermediate in front/center. So depending on how you are feeling, you can go easy on yourself or kick your own butt!

Exercise for 9-24-10 Walking

The moon was supposed to look big on Friday night, so Jason and I went for a walk around the lakes. We got some pictures, but they aren't great.

The walk was nice. There was no one else out so it was a little weird. We enjoyed it regardless though.

I got my hair in a messy bun right behind my right ear and put a flower in it. :-)

Black and Red Smokey look + glitter liner with Sugarpill Cosmetics and Elizabeth!

This look turned out to be more Gothy than I intended. Oh well! I wore this look on a girls night out with Elizabeth from http://prettybottles.blogspot.com/. We went to a restaurant/club that opened up here recently. We ate fondue (OMG yum!) and tried Absinthe for the first time. Of course it's not the real thing as it is illegal in the states. Regardless it tasted like double dog ass! I am not a fan of black licorice and this stuff is infused with fennel. So um...yeah...oh my gross!
DUUUUDE Elizabeth's makeup was so sparkly and pretty!
Me and Elizabeth hanging out on the comfy couches around the dance floor (we did not dance!)

 Beautiful Elizabeth

Check out the sparkles! I have no idea what she used for her look.

I wore Sugarpill's Bulletproof and Love +, and used Collection 2000 Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel liner in Rock Chick to do winged liner. It was rather dramatic but super simple to do. (I made zee jewelry)

Elizabeth lacing up the boots on my bed. She looked so cute! I should have taken pics of our outfits but I didn't...next time for sure though!

Hope everyone has a beautiful weekend!

Light Blue & Purple + Glitter look with Aromaleigh Lost in Faerie

So I haven't tried the new Aromaleigh collections even though I have had them for a while.  I got my last trade order from Aromaleigh and I think I just felt overwhelmed with how much stuff there was that I didn't go through and look at everything.  Because once I get into it, I'd be playing and swatching the shadows for hours and I don't really have time to do that. So I decided to go through one collection at a time.
It sounds stupid to be overwhelmed with makeup but it's kinda like when you have sooo many shoes that you can't decide which pair to wear with an outfit. Yep, it's like that. So one collection at a time seems to be easier. :-)

This is my first look with the Lost in Faerie shadows. I was thinking it made me look like a faerie, like a fantasy sort of look.  But my husband probably gave me the best compliment ever on my makeup. He got home from work and called me "pretty sparkly girl". Then he said my eyes looked like pretty fish, the glitter looked like shimmery fish scales. He is an art nerd so I think that's why he appreciates my makeup looks...even though sometimes he hates some colours on me. Hee hee.

Also, the NYX candy glitter liner works very well as a base for loose glitter. So if anyone wants to try glitter looks, the candy glitter liner is a cheap and good quality base for covering your whole eye area (it does not crease!) or using it as a liner on top of your liner (better than using it alone as you have something to follow) and pack more loose glitter on top to make some really sparkly liner. Really, this stuff is multi-functional and awesome.

This look really is so much more pretty in person. I wish cameras could capture it but you know what it's like. Meh!
Eyes (all applied in this order):
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
NYX Jumbo Pencil - Cottage Cheese (applied under brow and blended in gently with ring finger)
Kryolan Shimmering Vision Palette - 682 which is sky blue (applied all around the eye rubbing in gently with ring finger)
AL - elysia (applied to inner half of upper lid with MAC 239 by patting/sweeping)
AL - emerenta (applied to outer half of lid, V and crease with MAC 239 by patting/sweeping)
AL - naida (applied to lower lash line with MAC 228 by patting/sweeping)
AL - rosina (applied to inner corner with MAC 228 by patting)
Simply Natural's - Flesh (applied under brow with MAC 217 by patting, sweeping and blending)
NYX Candy Glitter Liner - Lavender (applied on top of emerenta, using the liner wand and swiping it on)
Kryolan Aqua color Liner - black (applied wet with water, using MAC 210 on upper lash line and extending out)
Kryolan Shimmering Vision Palette - 099 which is dark purple (water line)
CoverGirl Volume exact mascara in Very Black
I took some unlabeled lashes and cut them to use as half lashes. They worked OK I think.
