Purple and Blue Eye Makeup Tutorial with Aromaleigh

Here's a fun way to use only 2 colours. :-)  This look was mainly created using eyeshadows from Aromaleigh.

Golden Orange and Smokey Pink look with Victoria's Revenge by Aromaleigh

I had to make myself put makeup on today to get motivated. I haven't been feeling that great this week. My birth control pills have been making me feel really nauseous and tired. It comes in waves. I'll feel fine then not and back and forth. I've been napping a lot because it's been really hard for me to focus on work or fun things, when I have to stop what I'm doing, breath slowly and swallow a lot because I feel like I'm either going to pass out or barf.  But that's normal so I have to suck it up.  Doesn't make it any easier though.
To cheer me up I wore a big flower in my hair. I love the colour of it!
Today I wanted to use some pigments from the Victoria's Revenge collection that I haven't tried. So here you go:

Detrivore Eye Primer (applied all around the eye, rubbing in gently with ring finger)
AL - ruthless indulgence (applied to outer V with MAC 239 by patting/sweeping)

AL - brazen & bitter (applied to outer half of upper lid and mid lower lash line with MAC 239 by patting)
AL - airy ethos (applied to inner half of upper lid with MAC 239 by patting/sweeping)

AL - glow (applied to inner corner with MAC 228 by patting/sweeping)

Soft Purple and Blue look using Victoria's Revenge by Aromaleigh

While I really do like this look, there are a few annoying things I did that I'm not too happy about. I filled in my eyebrows a bit more than usual and they look really intense to me. But I'm sure I'm the only one that notices. I also used too much highlighter under my brow and it looks too frosty. The pics with flash made it look really bad so you just get natural lighting pics today. Another thing is I over blended one eye. So you can tell one eye is darker than the other. None of these things are particularly horrible and don't really ruin the look. Like I said, it's annoying but these things happen. We all have something like this from time to time so I'm just not worried about. The learning process never stops in my opinion, and we always learn different ways of doing things to get the right look. I just need to go back to using a matte fleshy colour shadow for my brow bone and use less Pixie Epoxy in that area. :-)
I can say I'm getting much better at applying my fake lashes too. Took me a few seconds today, no issues and I can't even feel them. Woot!

Smokey Olive look using Victoria's Revenge by Aromaleigh

Here is my first look using shadows from the Victoria's Revenge collection. The greens turned out very olive on me, which I'm fine with.  At first I thought I would hate this look, but it turned out really nice, I think. :-)  The sun decided to hide away from me so all pictures are taken with flash.

I just got these lovelies in the mail yesterday. Wasn't feeling too well so I didn't swatch them until this morning. I know a lot of other wonderful gals have swatched these and posted pictures too, which I've been drooling over! Here are my swatches. I couldn't wait to see these for myself. They are all so beautiful...I seriously think I want them all in full size...uh oh!

See anything you like? As I said, I really think these are all so pretty and worth getting. The names are really dark and dreamy to me, which adds to the appeal.
