Purple and Blue Eye Makeup Tutorial with Aromaleigh

Here's a fun way to use only 2 colours. :-)  This look was mainly created using eyeshadows from Aromaleigh.

Click below for the picture tutorial!

Start by applying your favourite eye primer. I used Coastal Scents Shadow Worx Eye Primer. Then apply a very sticky base (Sobe's Stick It!, Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy or Darling Girls Cosmetics Glitter Glue all work great).

Apply Frigid Gloom to the outer half of lid and crease by patting.

Apply Mourning's Whimsy to the inner half of lid and crease by patting and sweeping outward.

Apply Bluebell to the inner V by patting and sweeping outward.

Apply Frigid Gloom to the inner half of lower lash line.

Apply Mourning's Whimsy to the outer half of lower lash line and wing it out softly.

Blend out the harsh edges by using NYX Nude under the brow and blending downward in a zig zag motion. For the lower lash line, use a skin tone eyeshadow or a powder foundation and blend out any harshness.

Apply a black liner and wing outward. I used Kryolan's HD Cream Liner in Ebony.

Use either a white or skin tone eye pencil and apply it to the waterline. Then gently pat Mourning's Whimsy to the inner waterline and Frigid Gloom to the outer waterline using a flat taklon liner brush.

Apply Red Cherry Lashes #43 and black mascara to the lower lashes.
For the rest of what is on my face:
Eyebrows: Sobe Botanicals Fill Me In eyebrow powder Raven and Brunette mix (applied with MAC 266)

Lips: Sobe Botanicals - Exposed

Skin MD Shielding lotion
e.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation - Porcelain (applied with finger tips)
Sobe Tinted Illusionist Powder (applied all over face with a large powder brush)
Physicians Formula Powder Palette Mineral Glow Pearls - Light Bronze Pearl (applied under the cheek bones to contour)
Sobe Botanicals blush - Enchanted (applied to cheek bones and blending back toward the hair line)
Physicians Formula Powder Palette Mineral Glow Pearls - Translucent Pearl (applied just above the cheek bones to highlight)

  1. I feel like I'm always commenting on your tutorials because they're just so great! I love how you swapped the two colours around on the lower lash line, it makes all the difference, I'll have to remember that trick! Ali xxx

  2. Love this look. I am so glad I found your page. I can't believe how much your eye color is like mine.

  3. So pretty! Purples and blues are my favorites so I guess I am a little biased! : )

  4. I love this look! It's awesome. Mourning's Whimsy is gorgeous :) I think I have Frigid gloom.
