ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about your eyes being different, mine are as well. Despite being very, very British (my mom was born there), I almost have monolids thanks to my dad. We are a squinty peoples XD (I think I posted a pic of my dad and me at my wedding...we have big chipmunk cheeks & the same eyes, its so weird!) I also had a really, really terrible boyfriend in highschool that busted my left eye. The scar is basically gone, but it left my lid a weird shape, sort of wavy-like. That's why I almost always take pictures of only one eye...I'm a bit sensitive about it, but no one really says anything. I never noticed your eyes were different, but I know to ourselves, those flaws are noticable. Does it help that I think you are beautiful? XD

ReplyDeleteAbout being uneven... when I was 14 only my right armpit would get hairy. My left one didn't get any hair until like a year later. Probably TMI, haha, but it's so weird!

ReplyDeleteI have the exact same symmetry issue! When I was in the first grade, I had an accident that required a lot of stitches under my left brow. I guess when they pulled it together to stitch it, they basically gave me a brow lift, because that one is WAY higher than the other. I also have more visible lid on that eye, probably due to the "lift", so I have a really hard time making them match as well. And I have to get my brows shaped differently so they look a bit more symmetrical. I guess, in a nutshell, I feel your pain!
However, you are LOVELY, and I wouldn't have even noticed if you didn't mention it. :)
This is so different and lovely. My fav part is the lip though - great color and shine!

That's essentially how my eye is...but not from an accident. So my eyes are naturally annoying. So in pictures I do sort of raise my eyebrows to make it look more even. Otherwise, it sometimes is super noticeable and I look like I'm making a goofy face! Hee hee. Thank you!

ReplyDeleteI never actually noticed your eyes being different from one another and I really love your attention to detail in your makeup application. Reading your blog and seeing your photos inspires me.
My eyes are very assymetrical. The left side is quite a bit higher than my right and I think my left eye is larger as well. I never paid much attention to it until I started doing FOTDs about 2+ years ago. Now, I'm very tuned in to my flaws since I see photos of myself (and in close-up) on a regular basis. I don't think I've ever mentioned my "off" eyes before because I figure if I never mention it, no one will notice (now the cat's out of the bag *gasp*).
I mean, how many times has a friend pointed out that they have a huge zit on their chin and you didn't even notice it until they told you?
I apply makeup to suit each eye. I don't know how I would go about making them look more even. I also can't raise my right eyebrow to make it look more even with the left higher one because it's my left brow that naturally wants to go up. I have a bad habit of giving a "look" by raising that brow (like Ice Cube's screwface). At my age, I'm just learning to love and accept myself perceived flaws and all.
