Morticia & Gomez Addams Halloween Costume/Makeup + Party Pictures

This is from last Saturday. We went to a friend's Halloween party. He throws a HUGE party every year and this one was the biggest so far! It was so much fun! We met a lot of cool people and got a lot of compliments on our costumes. People said we were the best Morticia and Gomez they'd ever seen. Made me feel good!

I didn't take my nose ring out because I didn't feel like it. I have to use pliers which sucks!

I was going for the Angelica Huston Morticia look:

I made the mermaid skirt and the top is 2 pieces I altered and sewed together. :-)  We both wore stuff we already had which made this really easy to put together.

I did his makeup...which was simple. Just had to make him look tired.

NOTD: China Glaze Liquid Leather + NYX Girls Dorthy

This is a nail look I did to go with another Halloween costume (will post pics for the outfit/makeup/party later).  This NYX Girls Dorthy Polish looks like a dupe of Deborah Lippmann's Ruby Red Slippers: http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/lippmanncollection_2182_1510845

Although I got Dorthy for $2 at www.cherryculture.com instead of paying $18 for Ruby Red Slippers...

I achieved this look with:
1 coat of Avon's NAIL EXPERTS Smooth Beginnings Base Coat
1 coat of China Glaze - Liquid Leather
1 coat of NYX Girls - Dorthy
1 coat of Avon's NAIL EXPERTS UV Gloss Guard Top Coat

Dead Doll Halloween Costume Makeup Look with Sobe Botanicals

This is from last Friday. I mentioned in my previous nail post that I sponsored an underage Halloween bash and gave away jewelry to winners of the costume contests. I really had no idea what to dress as for the party. I didn't want to dress inappropriately and offend anyone's parents. So I went with a dead Doll look and my husband for the first time EVER, let me do his makeup. So we both were dead dolls. This is the most white I think I have ever worn! The black light loved me of course...

Eyes (all applied in this order):
Chafing Relief Powder-Gel (applied to upper lid, blending in gently with ring finger)
Detrivore WHITE eye primer (applied all around the eyes patting then rubbing in gently with ring finger)
Sobe - Slayed (applied all around the eye with MAC 239 by patting/sweeping)
Sobe - Bite Me (applied to halo around Slayed with MAC 217 by patting/sweeping)
Sobe - Into The Light (applied to inner 1/3 of lid with MAC 217 by patting/sweeping)
Sobe - Shacked up (applied all around the eye socket area with MAC 217 by patting and not blending too much)
Sobe - Parfait (applied very lightly all around eye socket area with MAC 217 by patting and not blending too much)
NYX Jumbo Pencil - Milk (applied to inner corner and water line winging outward)

Lips: Lip primer/concealer
Black lipstick dabbed onto the inside of the lips and corners of mouth

Face: Skin MD Shielding lotion
Sobe Powder foundation in Neutral Fair (applied with a synthetic flat top buffer brush)
Sobe Geisha White Powder Foundation (applied with a large powder brush)
Sobe Bite Me (used for heavy contour and shading)

Maya always wants to be a part of outfit pics!

Me and Jason. His contacts are so cool! He kept rubbing his nose so his makeup was coming off.

Or maybe we were rubbing noses. :-P  Dead love...

His makeup turned out better than mine...and I spent more time on myself. How does that happen?! *jealous*

NOTD: Bloody Halloween Nails with Orly - Naughty

Last Friday I sponsored a Halloween event for underage kids. Naturally I had to be there as I was giving away some jewelry for the costume contest. Anyway, I did this look for my nails to go with my creepy makeup I wore (I'll do a post on that later).

To create this look I first applied a base coat. Then applied Orly - Naughty by dabbing it just on the tips and lightly dragging it toward the cuticle. I normally try to not get polish on my skin but I got a bit carried away with trying to not make this perfect. I wanted it to look like I had been clawing at something to the point of bleeding.  :-)  Hope you like it!
