Match your eyeshadow to your eye colour: Hazel eyes

Never Too Much Sparkle! is having another Makeup Showcase and the theme this time is Match your eyeshadow to your eye colour.  Having hazel eyes, at first I wasn't sure what to do for this. Mainly was wondering what colours to use as my eye colour may change due to surroundings, makeup colours I am wearing as well as if I'm in false lighting or natural light. In general they tend to look golden olive green to me, but often they can appear gold or a dark green. Taking a closer look there are a variety of colours and I have these pale green rings in both of my eyes that I never even noticed until a follower of mine commented about it. Wha? Green rings? How come I never noticed before?! Weird.
At any rate I've always loved my eyes as I can wear pretty much any eyeshadow and get away with it. Here's my interpretation of my eye colour.

Teal and Purple/Blue Smokey makeup look with Morgana Cryptoria

Once in a while we all try to step outside of our comfort zones. For this look, I did that in 3 ways. 3! Winged liner is pretty much my trade mark. 99% of the time I wear makeup, I have black winged liner. But this time I didn't wear liner except on my water line! Also wore mascara just on the upper lashes and no fake lashes. Instead of wearing lipgloss or lipstick, I'm just wearing plain ol' chapstick. Weird huh?
I love my natural lip colour and shape. The only weird thing about them is they are very pink except on the very outside (where you would apply liner) so my lips often look unevenly shaped and a little patchy. This is probably normal with most people but I wanted to mention it anyway.

Teal and Gray/Purple Makeup look with Sobe botanicals

Does anyone have any good moisturizing liquid/cream foundation to recommend? I've tried a couple but they are weird on me. I just want a simple non-powder foundation to use in the winter when my skin likes to freak out on me and get really dry. Sometimes my powder foundation (doesn't matter what brand) irritates my dry skin but I'd like to find a light/medium coverage foundation that isn't too drying. Lemme know!

I got the Coastal Scents Camouflage Concealer palette and used one of the concealers as a foundation for this look. It worked really well but since it mostly has colours I can't wear, it's not really economical to use as a regular every day foundation.

Naughty Jester Costume/Makeup + Halloween Party Pictures

Last Saturday I had a Halloween party at my house. I was a Naughty Jester...and I have no idea what my husband was exactly. He wore his crazy clown wig, added some big eyeball LED lights to it and wore a creepy doctor coat. *shrugs*

I used some random cheap white face paint (this stuff was itchy!) and finished it with Sobe Botanicals Geisha White face powder.
For the eyes I used my fav product for winged liner, Kryolan Aqua Color liner - black and painted it on with MAC 210. Not sure where I got the lashes with the red beads at the tips but I'm thinking eBay.
For the lips I used my ring finger to dab Morgana Cryptoria's Very Cherry Lipstick just to the center of my lips.

I made most of my outfit. :-)

Blue, Olive and purple Makeup look with BH cosmetics 88 Cool Shimmer Palette

Lately I've been in a blog funk. I have not felt like posting, not just due to being busy with work, but I just don't always feel like posting looks, even if I have the time. I'm still doing makeup looks regularly and photographing them. It's just been difficult getting the motivation to post them. Maybe I need to pray to the makeup gods to give me some strength! :-P

Anyway, I don't remember what exact shadows I used for this look. Sorry!
