Lipstick application video tutorial

Some of you have requested that I do a video to show you how I apply my lipstick. So here it is! I hope this is helpful. :-)

My mail comes into my house through a slot in the wall, and you can hear the mail crash into the floor. Hee hee! It's convenient, but it usually scares my cats and sometimes scares even me!

What was used:

e.l.f. studio lip gloss wands: http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/tools/applicators/lip_gloss_wands

Sobe Botanical's lip & cheek colour - Framboise :http://sobebotanicals.com/products-page/lipstick-cheek-lip-color/framboise-lipstick/

I should specify that even tho the lip wands are disposable, I DO NOT throw them away after each use. I clean them and reuse them just like my brushes. :-)

Lemme know whatcha think!

Makeup look from the video is posted here: http://themoonmaiden-blix.blogspot.com/2011/07/gold-lime-green-teal-and-blue-makeup.html

  4. When the man and I lived in Germany, we had a mail slot in the front door, and every single time the mail was delivered, it scared the crap out of me. The guy never could just close the bloody thing quietly; he always slammed it shut.

  5. Think I'm going to try those applicators, great eyelook by the way :). Does lipstick ever run out in the lines of your lips and do you reapply a lot during the day?

  6. You've got an amazing voice! It would be great if you could do more videos, because you are a kind of person that people could listen to for hours! Great tutorial as well :)

  8. I believe this technique works for you because you have beautiful full lips... it wouldn't work for me though, I need my lipliner to "cheat" a bit, to make my lips fuller and bigger... and also the liner helps so the lipstick stays in place longer. =)

  9. Thanks ladies! Most of the lipsticks that I use have really good staying power and do not bleed. So I don't have to reapply a million times a day. Sometimes I reapply but only if I've eaten (when some comes off) and someone other than my hubby will be seeing me. :-)
I MIGHT consider doing an actual eye makeup video tutorial. I have no idea how to edit videos and I worry that a tut of mine would be tooo long for anyone to want to watch. We'll see tho. Any suggestions would help!

    Nanethiel,
This technique works very well for cheating to make lips look fuller, I do that too sometimes! I find that this way is MUCH easier to cheat than using liners. Try it. Although it is best to use a lipstick that doesn't bleed and lasts. Morgana Cryptoria and Sobe Botanicals lip products do not bleed on me and often last through eating and drinking. :-) Also some of Avon's lipsticks work very well.

    Apriltini,
I'm glad somebody out there understands. It's soo annoying! I don't think I'll ever get used to it. I was once painting my nails sitting next to the mail slot when the mail came. I totally jumped as it freaked me out. ALMOST messed up my nails!

also, i don't mean to advertise, but a friend of mine is having a charity blogathon (this is not a scam). http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=138877612863092

  13. Ive always wanted to see how you do your lips, and I was curious about the ELF applicators you had in your giveaway. I think I might need to get me some. I tend to apply with a brush, but a brush doens't always give the straight lines I want, and my lips tend to bleed lipstick easily.

  14. Way fun to watch! I like it that you don't have a girly high voice, but instead you sound so warm and intelligent. Love this, thanks!

  16. thnks for the video, it's a really great tip! I actually tried it last night right after watching it, and I love that the lipgloss wand gave me way more precision than using the tube, and also more control than a lip brush. I have pretty thin-ish lips, so sometimes it can get messy, but this is a great idea for me :):)
