Nails/NOTD: China Glaze - Ruby Pumps French Tips

This is the nail look I created for this club makeup look posted here.  I've never done french tips before so I wasn't really sure what the heck I was doing. This was a little rushed, but I thought it turned out well considering I wasn't using french tip strips. I originally wanted to use a nude base but I didn't have the time, so I just went with a clear base coat, 3 red coats on the tips and then a top coat. Even though I let Ruby Pumps completely dry before applying the top coat, it picked up some red and transferred it onto the clear polish. :-(

I achieved this look with:
1 coat of Avon's NAIL EXPERTS Smooth Beginnings Base Coat
3 coats of China Glaze - Ruby Pumps (just on the tips)
1 coat of Avon's NAIL EXPERTS UV Gloss Guard Top Coat

Smoky Red Eye Makeup Look + Club pictures

Last night I didn't get to sleep until after 4 am. My hubby DJ's at a once a month club event and that's where we were last night. Was a lot of fun, but I am so tired. Since we had to get to the venue early for him to set up DJ gear and lighting equipment, I decided to bring my clothes/makeup to get ready there while they set up. Not a very good idea! The lighting in the bathroom was terrible and I'm used to sitting at my comfy vanity with my magnifying mirror. Doing my makeup at the club made me feel super spoiled with my vanity set up. I felt like I couldn't see anything and I was so uncomfortable standing leaned in so close with my head tilted back. Next time, I'll bring my mirror, a chair and a lamp if I have to!

Since I couldn't see very well, I didn't even bother with attempting my usual winged liner and faux lashes. However, here is how my makeup turned out. Not too shabby. But I would have done more if I had a better set up.

Anyway, the night was a blast. There were several people there celebrating their Birthdays. I made cupcakes to pass out and all were gone by the end of the night! I also lost my camera at some point so I couldn't take many pictures. Some nice person found it and returned it to the DJ booth before the night was over. :-)

I'm wearing Morgana Cryptoria eyeshadows in Old Bloody Mary and Harbinger. The inner corner has a bit of NYX. On my lips I'm wearing e.l.f.'s matte lip color in Rich Red with Morgana Cryptoria Fire Brick on top.

A new Halloween eyeshadow collection was released by Sobe Botanicals, called Peepers Creepers, so I created a tutorial using some of them. :-)

Blue, Gray and Purple Eye Makeup look + Outfit Pics

This is from last Friday. We went out dancing and had a good time. :-) The eyeshadows I used for this look are ones I made for myself a long time ago. So they don't have names.

Maya always has to join in the outfit pics! The dress was purchased from eBay. I believe it was used. It had 3/4 sleeves but they were so tight I could barely bend/move my arms in them. So I cut the sleeves off and sewed it to be sleeveless. Heels were bought used, from eBay as well. Overall, this whole outfit is under $20. :-)

Smoldering Fall Eye Makeup Tutorial

Here's a fall look for you. I combined gold, copper and burnt red, which reminds me of the changing of the leaves. :-)

This look was created using Archetype Cosmetics eyeshadows. As far as I know, they are discontinued as Archetype closed up shop.

Fall is in the air. I'm already thinking of my favourite colours to wear. Plummy purples are definitely amongst them!
