Locks of Love: New hair!

While I love and adore long hair, I felt it was time to part with the length. I cut 10.5 inches off to donate it to Locks of Love. :-)  What do you think?!

Before:

After:
My Rocky Mountain Endangered Feces shirt. :-P

I still have some decent length in the back so I don't feel so bald. Although I have a feeling I'll be using too much product next time I wash my hair!
It's hard to be sad about losing the length when it's going to such a good cause. I may be growing it out again to donate more. :-)

  1. Woooow, I never could do that... BUT I have quite short hair as you can see and I always wanna have long hair. Nevertheless I have to say, it looks really, really good! It's a nice length and it looks good to your face (: That's my opinion.
And it's so nice of you to donate your hair!

  3. What you did is so beautiful, plus I actually think you look even prettier now ! Your face is so beautiful that you would look great even with short hair and your shorter hair is anyway very long. Kisses

  4. What a nice decision...

I have a friend who's trying to donate her hair. She's cutting it "boy looking", and she has it near to waist... And I say "trying to donate" because in Spain it's not easy to find a way to do it, even when it's not selling hair, but donate!

    1. It was really frizzy in the before pictures as I just washed it and the weather here makes it puff from static. It was very healthy with no split ends since I don't use styling products or use heat on my hair at all. But I'm very happy to get rid of the length.

  6. I just cut my hair to donate it as well! Nice to see someone else contributing to such a great cause. :)

I'm torn between donating to LOL or Pantene Beautiful Lengths, I think I have to go with LOL because my hair was dyed with permanent dye, and BL only accepts virgin hair/semi-permanent dyed hair. But, I'm not a big fan of LOL selling wigs rather than donating them, that's why I wouldn't think twice about donating to BL.

    1. I can't donate to Pantene since my hair has permanent dye and vegetable dye in it. Pantene won't accept my hair, but LOL will.

I donated to Locks of Love in 2009, and am growing my hair out to donate again.

  8. I don't think I knew your hair was that long. Very good reason to get a cut. :) I donated my hair when I got a bunch cut over 3 years ago.

  15. I think your hair looks great (both ways)! I have long, long hair myself, but I can never quite take the plunge to do anything drastic. I think you left just enough to be on the in between! Beautiful :)

  21. That first pic is how long I want my hair to be, the second pic is the length it has been for about 3 years now. I'm not sure I can grow it any further! Major kudos to you for donating such a precious thing to such a good cause!

  22. I have a bag FULL of hair on my desk just awaiting donation. It's got two haircuts worth of hair (one from going long to medium, and one going from medium-long to short), as well as my friend's hair which is coincidentally the same color as mine so it all looks the same. I've given my hair to Locks of Love before, but since then have heard various conflicting comments about them. Pantene's got a hair charity thing going on now, so I'm gonna check that out more before I decide where I'm gonna mail my hair.
