Smoky blue Makeup look with Morgana Cryptoria

I've been tinkering with using black eyeshadow bases. Now I remember why I don't use them very often! NYX Black Bean jumbo pencil will crease like crazy if you use a tiny bit too much, even over a primer. So I want to keep playing with it and see if there's a way to use just the right amount. I have other black bases that don't crease as much...but holy crap they don't want to wash off! So I'll stick with Black Bean. :-)

I really love this eye look. I wanted this look all about the eyes so I went with a toned down lippy. I feel I should have used a nude instead of pink. I'm not diggin' the pink paired with the eyes. Next time I'll do nude lips!

Yes, I made the necklace. One just like it will be available in my store shortly. I've been working like a slave!

  1. I LOVE this look, Blix! I love to use black bases, but can't use black bean either. I tend to use my Indelible cream shadow in Carbon or my ELF cream eyeliner in black, but you're right they're hard to get off! I find a lot of the time I can get the same look with a deep gray base instead of black and it's easier removed, go figure. :D

  5. Awwh well I think the somewhat bold pink lip looks awesome against the smokey eye! Especially against that teal-ish shade on the centre of the lid.

  7. I just got Black Bean and have been using it a LOT! It DOES crease, though, if you use the TINIEST bit too much! I love what you've done with it here!

  8. Wow, Ethereal veil looks like it almost glows with the black around it, love the color combo. And I'm having major blush envy right now, LOL.
