Purple and Green look

So I got a new camera...again. Not sure how I feel about it. I'm really frustrated with cameras these days. I've tried many and it seems while most cameras are good for daily use of normal things, they aren't so great at taking close-ups of someone's face. The last two new ones I tried just make people look WEIRD. Skin texture is gross, splotchy, rough looking and just plain bleh. And it does this to everyone. I understand that my skin in not perfect, it never will be, and I'm honestly OK with that, but I guess I was used to my old camera that made everyone's skin look smooth and didn't exagerate the imperfections. Maybe it's like HD TV...some people's faces just aren't meant to be seen in high def! I've had a few friends suggest cameras but I can't find anything that works how I want. I'm sort of pissed because I don't want a new camera, I want my old one to work the way it used to. But sadly, it is dying and I know I need to get something. Not just for makeup but for my work, which requires me to take lotsa pics every week. Meh!
So I did a look today that I am happy with, but I'm not happy with the pics of my face. I seriously just don't like the way it makes me look. Maybe it'll just take getting some used to. I'm not sure. I just like my dying camera better. :-(  Oh and another thing, the eyeshadows are REALLY sparkly...but I can't even tell by these pictures. WTF? Annoying...*sigh*

  2. Thank you! I'm glad you like them...too bad I don't remember what the heck I used to make them. I can't see myself using all of it so shouldn't be a big deal...I hope. :-O

  4. I love the shape of your eye makeup, and the lip colour is so beautiful :)

I feel ya on the whole camera thing. My current camera only takes good photos outside in direct sunlight, and I can't take full face shots with it or it highlights all my imperfections and makes my big head look even bigger :|

  5. Lovely! I love the shape.

Maybe there's a magic setting on your camera? Or probably not. I don't know cameras too well. Haha.

  7. AxSDenied,
Well, I guess you can, but make sure to bring them back when you are finished using them...I don't wanna look like an alien for too long. :-P

    SilhouetteScreams,
Thank you! And I'm sorry you have camera issues too. Although I feel a little better knowing I'm not the only one.

    Julissa,
Thanks. :-) I'm still playing with the settings...doesn't seem to be helping much but I will keep working with it to try and make it work. Still is frustrating.

  11. Love the colors you made, esp the purple! Is it glitter or pigment? Sorry a/b the camera. My camera is a bum and never gets anything right. Sorry that your good one is going.

  12. Tally7,
Thank you! It is pigment with glitter. So it was very sparkly but you can't tell. :-(
It's OK. I'm experimenting with two new ones to see which works best for me.

  13. Neat! Glitters w/ pigment are always fun to wear. Looks like turquoisey sparks? Good luck w. the experimenting!
