Happy VD! Wooo!

I'm wearing my Bloody Peacock hair clip that I got from BlushBaby. It's sooo pretty!
Right now I'm remembering when I was a kid in the 4th grade...I was sick and out of school for a couple weeks. But I wanted to make something for my class for Valentine's Day. So I made a heart shaped cake and put pink frosting on it. My mom took it to my class and everyone was like, "Nuh uh! Emily didn't make this! She's too weird!"  So Mr. Stein (my teacher) started to cut into it to pass pieces around and the cake on the inside was GREEN. I put tons of green food colouring in it. So then all my friends were like, "Yep, Emily made it! I bet it's poison! This poison tastes good!".
It's not a super entertaining story, but it's one that comes to mind every Valentine's Day because my schoolmates called me after school to say thanks and tell me how cool it was. I was a huge dork/art nerd as a kid and never grew out of that. :-D
So this is my VD makeup. And I'm wearing a necklace Jason got for me a long time ago. I have matching earrings but forgot to put those in. Doh!

I finished the eyeliner tutorials and will try to get them posted either tonight or tomorrow. I did a powder eyeliner as well as a liquid eyeliner tutorial so you can try both and use what works best for you!
And I didn't have time to do a tutorial for glitter application today, so I will do that tomorrow if I have time!
I'm almost finished sewing too! My costume is just about complete and I think there is enough fabric left over to make something else too. Which is always nice. Wooot!
How are you all doing today? Any romantic plans?

I got a sweet card from Jason...but I can't show it to you all because he altered it to be pervy...it might offend someone. But OMG I think it's hilarious!

  4. That Valentines Day story is so cute!

This is so pretty, it's one of the few V-day looks that hasn't annoyed me :3

  5. YOU HAVE A NAME OTHER THAN BLIX? Lol I think it's so weird when I learn people's real names. I like this look a lot, the reds look sophisticated and not like OMGINURFACE.

  6. Nina,
Thank you! Yeah, I love this pink paired with the red.

    Phyrra,
    I agree, thank you!

    Thia Winter,
    Thanks. :-)

    SilhouetteScreams,
Hee hee. Thank you. I just wanted to do something simple with colours that make me think of VD.

    Heather,
Yep, my name is Emily but everyone calls me Em. I got Blix from the movie Legend with Tim Curry and Tom Cruise. She was the goblin witch who served Darkness (the main evil dude). Hee hee. Thank you!

    Kiku,
    Thank you. :-D

  7. I love the hairpiece, and the makeup. :)

And that's such a cute story. Aw. You're too weird to make a pretty pink cake. Until it's green guts spew out. Nice. :D Hehe.

  8. Julissa,
    Thank you! :-)

Hee hee. Well I left out that everyone knew that I hated pink so no one believed I would make a pink heart cake...until they saw the green "guts". Oh and I'm OK with pink now. :-D

  10. Ebru,
Thank you! I toned my eyebrows down for this one. I wanted a softer, romantic look. :-)
