Smokey Green Glitter look with Morgana Minerals

This is my first time doing a real look with lime glitter. I applied it over a black base so it ended up looking more green. Oh well! I like it!
Eyes (all applied in this order):
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
NYX Jumbo Pencil in White (applied all around the eye, except the upper lid, rubbing in gently with ring finger)
Morgana - Sinister (applied to inner half of crease with MAC 228 by patting/sweeping)
Morgana - Shady Pines (applied to outer half of crease and V with MAC 228 by patting/sweeping)
Morgana - Ectoplasm (applied to lower lash line with MAC 228 by patting/sweeping)
Morgana - Shady Pines (applied thinly to lower lash line with MAC 266 on top of Ectoplasm, then blending with MAC 217)
Morgana - Mysterious Veil (applied under brow with MAC 217 by patting, sweeping and blending)
Kryolan HD Cream Liner - Ebony (applied to upper lid with a small taklon brush)
Morgana - Lime glitter (applied on top of Ebony by patting it on)
Kryolan Aqua color Liner - black (applied wet with water, using MAC 210 on upper lash line and extending out)

Red Cherry lashes #43

Eyebrows: Ardell eyebrow powder in soft black (applied with MAC 226)

Lips: Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar - a mixture of Katricia and Anime...and maybe some black. I don't remember but it seems dark enough that I might have put black in it.

Face: Skin MD Shielding lotion
Physicians Formula Healthy Wear SPF 50 Powder in Translucent Light (applied using a flocked sponge by patting then blending)
AL You're a Doll! Gothic Lolita Rouge in Corset (applied to cheeks with a small angled blush brush)

Exercise for 9-21-10 Walking and Weights

My hubby and I started off with walking around the lakes near our place. We walked about 45 minutes. When we got home, we lifted weights for about an hour.
My routine was similar to my last workout post, but this time I did a total body workout. I used my resistance tube to work most of my upper body doing:

bicep curls
hammer curls
bent over tricep extensions
side lateral shoulder raises
overhead shoulder press (military press)
bent over rows (back)

For legs, my routine was about the same as the last time but I did not use the stability ball to do extra leg stuff or core. I did however, do core work laying on the floor. My barbell was again 40 lbs. and I did the following until I was tired:

static lunges
squats
dead lifts
calf raises

I'm really feeling it now. The resistance tube really is harder than using free weights to me. So I'm really enjoying using it for sculpting my muscles. Don't know why it's taken me so long to actually use it like this.

Violet and Teal + Glitter look using My Stuff

I'm really behind on blogging. Sorry! I was gone over the weekend camping and came back to lotsa work. Which is good though. Here's a look I did on Sunday using shadows I made. I used the kryolan palette as a shadow base and used the NYX cream palettes with no problems this time. The Kryolan cream eyeshadow does not crease at all!
I applied the shadows in a way I normally wouldn't. I really like how it turned out. :-)
Eyes (all applied in this order):
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Kryolan Shimmering Vision Cream Eyeshadow palette - B6 which is teal (applied all around the eye rubbing in gently with ring finger)
My Stuff - Sparkle Teal (applied to inner half of upper lid with MAC 239 by patting/sweeping)
My Stuff - Black Violet (applied to outer half of lid with MAC 239 by patting/sweeping)
My Stuff - Black Peacock (applied to lower lash line with MAC 228 by patting/sweeping and outer V with MAC 217 by blending into the crease)
My Stuff - Sparkle violet (applied to inner corner with MAC 228 by patting)
Simply Natural's - Angel (applied under brow with MAC 217 by patting, sweeping and blending)
NYX Glitter Cream Ocean Breeze palette - the lightest teal on the far left (applied just below the winged liner by lightly dabbing/gliding it on with a small taklon brush)
NYX Glitter Cream Royal Violets palette - the lightest purple on the far left in the palette (applied to inner lower corner by lightly dabbing/gliding it on with a small taklon brush)
Kryolan Aqua color Liner - black (applied wet with water, using MAC 210 on upper lash line and extending out)
CoverGirl Volume exact mascara in Very Black (lower lashes)

Face: Skin MD Shielding lotion
Physicians Formula Healthy Wear SPF 50 Powder in Translucent Light (applied using a flocked sponge by patting then blending)
AL rocks! sonic rouge in sinisterrouge (applied to cheeks with a small angled blush brush)

Exercise for 9-16-10 My own thing, lower body

Yep, I totally forgot to post this last week. Since I was still sore from doing Pyramid Upper, I focused on lower body and core. I used my barbell loaded at 40 lbs. and did the following:

static lunges
squats
plea squats
dead lifts
calf raises

I'll say it a million times but I don't have a set amount that I do in terms of reps. So I don't really count the reps unless I'm doing something on one side and need to count to make sure I do the same amount on the other side. Like I said before, I just basically work each muscle group to the point of exhaustion.

After using the barbell, I used my stability ball and did some extra booty exercises, leg lifts and inner thigh squeezes.  I was really sore the next day. I was worried that because we were going camping over the weekend, that I wouldn't be able to hike as much as I like to when camping, but I was fine. :-)

I then did various core exercises. I don't remember everything since this was from last Thursday evening. Oops!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Green, Teal and Olive + Glitter makeup look

Holy dog ass batman! This look was so perfect! Then the NYX glitter cream totally made it crease. :-(  So even though it creased like mad, I'm posting the look anyway. So I won't be using the NYX glitter cream on my upper lids again. It worked really well on the inner lower corner though. Will try above the crease next time and maybe on top of liner. You never know how something will turn out until you do it! Now I know...
The eyeshadow I'm using is a brand that was selling on eBay but died a couple years ago, I think. These are totally repackaged pigments. I bought these MANY years ago before I was aware of such a thing. But I still love the colours. :-)
I made zee feather clip and earrings...wow check out that peach fuzz! Flash from cameras are evil with fuzziness. Makes it look so much worse! Yeah I'mah herry beast woman! Hee hee.

Eyes (all applied in this order):
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy (applied all around the eye rubbing in gently with ring finger)
Viola Minerals - Charcoal Green (applied to inner half of upper lid with MAC 239 by patting/sweeping)
Viola Minerals - Smokey Teal (applied to outer half of lid and crease with MAC 239 by patting/sweeping)
Viola Minerals - Sage (applied to lower lash line with MAC 228 by patting/sweeping and blending into the crease, on top of Smokey Teal)
Viola Minerals - Pearly White (applied under brow with MAC 217 by patting, sweeping and blending)
Viola Minerals - Pearly White (applied to inner corner with MAC 228 by patting)
NYX Glitter Cream Ocean Breeze palette - the teal on the far right (applied to outer half of upper lid by lightly dabbing/pressing it on with the sponge tip applicator)
NYX Glitter Cream Royal Violets palette - the only gold one in the palette (applied to inner lower corner by lightly dabbing/pressing it on with the sponge tip applicator)
Kryolan HD Cream Liner - Ebony (applied with MAC 210 on upper lash line and extending out)
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Flipside (water line)
CoverGirl Volume exact mascara in Very Black (lower lashes)

Kryolan Shimmering Vision palette & HD cream liner Swatches

Late last month I ordered Kryolan's new Shimmering Vision Cream Based 18-color palette along with the HD cream liner in Ebony (black) from Shrinkle on eBay.
I just received them on Tuesday. The postage date was the 30th so I'm wondering if the package was lost or possibly routed to the wrong area, which is why it took so long. I have no idea but it's not normal for Priority packages to take more than 2 weeks! Anyway, I'm not complaining as everything arrived safely and as described.

 So here's the goodies:
Palette, Cream liner and an unlabeled sample but I believe it is Hysteric from Sugarpill.

Taken in natural light. Yep, I played with it a bit before taking pictures. My brush was super stiff and cut right into the pretty teal colour. Ooops!

Colour chart for the colours. I'll use this for reference when I use this for a look so you know which ones I used.

the unlabeled sample (Hysteric?) looks to be purple with blue/green sparkles

swatched over ebony cream liner on the top and swatched over white from the palette on the bottom.

I'd have to say the main thing I noticed from the palette was of course the awesome shimmering colours, then next was the smell. It's not a terrible smell, but it is sort of perfumey. I've worn two colours already and did not notice a smell after they were applied. But I know some people are sensitive to smells so I thought it was important to mention that this palette does have a smell, but it's not chemically...just sort of creamy...perfumey. Like floral body cream or something.
Anyway, the squares are about 1" x 1". They all seem to be filled at varying levels but overall you get a lot of product for the money.
When trying them out, they have a wonderful consistency. They are very creamy, blend well and shadow adheres to them decently but not as well as my Detrivore eye primer or say Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy. I will try these out with glitter at some point to see if it sticks at all.
I tried a couple of these on the water line and they held up really well. Didn't budge at all so that's great as I love putting fun colours on the water line. :-)

I will be playing with the palette over the next couple weeks and if I have time, I will do a more thorough review.

I've worn the HD cream liner 2 times. I tried it as I normally would for winged liner as well as on the water line. Since I'm used to using Kryolan's Aqua color liner (which is applied with water), this HD cream liner is dry to me. I think for a cream liner it's really, really good but it will take some getting used to for me. Other than it being drier than I'm used to, I like it fine. It's also very creamy and can be used as a black base. It did exceptionally well on the water line too!

The palette is $52.50 and the HD cream liner is $20.00. Both were purchased from Shrinkle's eBay store

I hope you enjoyed this post! If you have any questions, please let me know!

Bronzed Golden Wine Glitter look with Morgana Minerals

This look was done using more shades from the Limited Edition collection and some gold glitter from Morgana that I have had for a long time. I was going for a sort of romantic evening look.
I ordered the new Kryolan Shimmering Vision 18 colour eyeshadow palette. I just received it and wanted to try it right away! It's a palette with creamy eyeshadow that can be worn alone or as bases. Teal, Purple & Black look with My Stuff

So I haven't done pictures in natural lighting in a long time. I feel like since most of my looks have lotsa sparkles or glitter, it's better to use a flash so you can see that better. Ya know? But I went ahead and did this look and did not use a flash. I had to stand really close to a window as my apartment is like a cave! Seriously can't wait until we move into the house as I'll have more sunlight. Yay!
This look was done using pigments I made. I took like colours that appealed to me and mixed them to create custom colours, then added sparks and hilites. One of them though (I call it Purple Peacock), is the way it normally is but I just added purple sparkles. XD
Here it is.
