Contest Goodies I won + Burgundy Makeup look with Darling Girl Cosmetics

For those of you who did not know, Cinnamon Candies hosted a Beauty Blog Award on her blog for different categories (Best Overall Beauty Blog, Best Indie Make Up Company, Best Swatches, Best Reviews and Best EOTD, FOTD Blog).

I was nominated for Best Overall Beauty Blog and thanks to your votes, I won! This was a huge surprise for me as I never enter giveaways. The reason being is I've been so fortunate to work with 3 makeup companies that supply me with tons of makeup products as payment for doing swatches for their websites. So I feel it would be wrong of me to enter giveaways trying to win things that I really believe someone else deserves to win much more than I do. I appreciate seeing other gals who need/want makeup much more than I do win some awesome goodies. The difference with this contest was that I was voted by others and I did not enter myself. Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me. I'd also like to thank Cinnamon Candies for hosting the Contest and the companies that provided the prizes! You guys are awesome!

I was late on receiving my prizes because I don't check my PO box very often, which is my fault. Better late than never tho right?

What I absolutely LOVE about the prizes is that they are all from companies I have never tried. So it was nice to get a hold of something new to try out for myself. I've heard so many good things about these companies from so many of you.

Here's what I got:

There was also a congratulations note included but I forgot to add it for the picture.

Instead of doing swatches, I decided to do some makeup looks with all of these items. Here's the first look I did using Darling Girl Cosmetics eyeshadows and Dark Heart Designs lipgloss. This is a very toned down look for me. :-)

Golden Purple Glitter Makeup look with Aromaleigh

Some of you have been emailing me saying I need to post something! Sorry, I'm busy with work and life. But here's a look for you. This look is from over a week ago. I have a few things to post that I will try to do soon so I don't forget what was used for them. :-)

Um...one of you said this little hair clip looks like a tiny crown. It's not intentional as I made it (it's a setting with a stone in the center) and I never thought that before! My sister thinks it looks like a crown too and now she wants me to make her one like it. Hee hee!

OOTD: Black Dress with Lace Tights and Witchy Boots

Another outfit that's not really a dress. Just pulled a skirt up to just below my bust line, over a 3/4 sleeve top. Than added a purple and black lace harness belt to keep the skirt in place. :-)

My little princess Maya was trying to get my attention the entire time I was trying to get pictures done.

3/4 sleeve black shirt is from Target

Purple and Black lace harness is from Hot topic. I normally hate that store but they do have some cute stuff once in a while.

chiffon full circle skirt is from eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Full-Circle-Chiffon-Skirt-Knee-Length-Skirt-XS-3XL-/290517412651?pt=US_CSA_WC_Skirts&var=&hash=item895f661352

Diamond lace tights are from eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fashion-sexy-dark-hollow-lace-fishnet-pantyhose-tights-/280738144602?pt=US_Womens_Leggings&hash=item415d4c215a

 Rawr!

Athan harassed me awake this morning. He was kneading dough on my hair and meowing in my face, then stopped when my husband came in to capture it with the camera. I look dead...ha!  He looks guilty.

Halloween Inspired Jewelry (non-makeup post)

With Halloween just around the corner, I want to share with you the new Halloween themed jewelry pieces I recently made and listed to the Moon Maiden eBay store. These are not only perfect to wear during October, but they are also great for those who like that wear creepy things all year 'round. I am one of those people for sure!

Here are a small handful of pictures/links to some adorable tiny apothecary Potion and Poison bottle pendants.  There are many more different ones listed! Go check them out!

Pics of the night:
This was at the beginning of the night. So my friend Sue and I hung out being goofballs as usual.

 Goofy Sue

 Part of the bar

There were cool lights through out the club

Back of the club. Jason is barely visible through the small window up in the DJ booth. There was a body painting photo shoot going on in the back too. I was asked to participate but no thanks!

I'm a little taller than Sue so I had to duck down a bit. :-)

Yep, she always wears low cut tops. :-)

Stood up straight so cut the top of my head off...oops

Still the beginning of the night, hardly anyone there but that doesn't stop Sue from dancing!

Ryan, Sue and Angela dancing. Bright light is the photo shoot in the back.

 I'm crazy when I dance!

 Ryan and Angela

Me and Jason aka DJ SN1P3R (he's a video game nerd and loves playing snipers in case you're wondering what that's about). I made zee necklace!

Sue sucked into the movie playing on the TV's.

 Me and Jason

 Mike! Sitting all by himself.

Sue decided he needed some hair! Kinda creepy!

 Terri, Charlie and Betel dancing

 Shot time! Ryan looks scared...

Jason and Tyler. Not sure what Tyler is doing.

The photographer Dennis Taulbee, got photos of Betel dancing with moi and Terri in the background.

Look at him go!

That's all folks!
