Black Flamingo Glitter LOTD

I've been wanting to try this type of look for a while. A few weeks ago I swatched several NYX jumbo pencils and layered many different glitters on top to see how they all would turn out. Flamingo glitter looks pink in the jar with blue reflects. But when applied over NYX black bean, it only showed the blue sparkles. Which I fell in love with and knew I needed to do a look with it. So here it is!

I took all of the above photos with flash and wanted to try some in direct sunlight without flash to capture the sparkles. I was only trying to get a close up of my eye but some turned out really artsy. I was going to delete these but then decided I'll post them anyway!

They didn't really capture the sparkles the way I hoped but I got some neat pics out of it. I look pissed but it was just that my eyes were burning from the sunlight! Ha! :-)

Eyes (all applied in this order):
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
NYX Jumbo Pencil in black bean as base (applied to upper lids only by rubbing the pencil on my eyes, then using a sponge tool to blend it evenly, then used my fingers to soften and blend the edges)

Coastal Scents - Flamingo glitter (upper lid, applied over black bean with MAC 239 by patting)

Medusa's Makeup Mineral Glitter - shooting star (outside lower corner of eye area using MAC 217)
Avon Luxery eyeliner pencil in navy (on waterline)
Eyeko mascara in black (only on upper lashe)

Morgana Minerals vegan lipstick in Nightshade

Aromaleigh Haul

Mail came and I got a package from Aromaleigh. :-) I mainly placed this order to get a lovely eyeshadow for my sister for Christmas. Her name is Clara and she likes purple so I figured it would be appropriate to get her Clara from the en pointe LE collection. :-) Shhhh! Don't tell her! :-P
I also took advantage of the sales at the time and got myself some much needed coquille bleu for colour correcting.
"Coquille Bleu (Blue)- A soft blue that helps counteract the orange-ness of sunless tanning. Also can be used to produce a "dreamy" finish, similar to our Coquille Lilas "
My tinted sunscreen makes my skin look rather orangey so I thought this would help me out. Got a sample of coquille lilas to try it out too. I'm a glitter whore so I also got rocks! glam glitter in kerosene which is a bright yellow sparkle.
For my 3 free samples, I got clara, dulcinea and elegie from the en pointe collection. They also threw in a lippie sample in rosebud. Always makes me sad since I can't use ANY of AL's lip products because there are nut ingredients in every single one of them. :-(  Not good for folks with nut allergies. I believe nuts should be banned from all lip products!

Elegie looks soooo beautiful! I hope it becomes a permanent colour! I need a big jar of it! I will try to post a look with some of these soon.

Have you tried any of these products?

Super Simple Glitter Look

I didn't have time to do much today so I just did face powder on top of my sunscreen, eyeko mascara in black, Avon Luxery eyeliner in eggplant (waterline) and NYX candy glitter liner in Jade. Umm...the label on my lipgloss is rubbed off so I have no idea what it is! Oops!

Just got back from skating for the first time in YEARS...I look really tired...sorry!

My Gothic Club Look

Last night was a once a month Goth night at a local club. They have a new theme each month and last night was Zombies. You can be a zombie or a zombie killer or something of that nature. If you weren't dressed up, I guess you were considered to be a fresh meal. I decided to go with my vinyl Lip Service nurse uniform and a captains hat (there are no captain nurses but it went well together!)...as though I was going to "heal" folks or something. I just didn't want to be a zombie or a killer. This is the look I created.
