I like it Nerdie, 24/7...

A few weeks ago some friends, my hubby and I went to this unique club night called Nerdie. The music style was Indie, hop-hop and nerd themed songs (um...hello star trek techno!). The crowd I normally see at the usual club night I go to, can often include some uptight snooty goths. While I don't really consider myself goth (I'm a PIB who happens to like industrial music!) I've really been enjoying the Nerdie night since I can let loose, chill with friends and dance to some fun and really out there music.

So since it was Nerdie, the eyeshadow I wore was Pangalactic Gargleblaster by Archetype cosmetics! Heh heh! Such an appropriate one to wear I think. :-)  I didn't get any pictures of my full outfit, but I wore a "sophisticated nerd" outfit. :-)  Or whatever you'd call it. It was a fun night!

Neutral Glitter Makeup look with Morgana Cryptoria

This look is from a week ago. I went to the movies with some gal friends to see Immortals. Was a good movie. I really loved the costuming and the way it was filmed. :-)

I went for a more neutral look but spiced it up with a lot of glitter.  This was sooo sparkly in person. I can't believe how much the camera couldn't capture. Very disappointing!

Similar jewelry to what I'm wearing may be purchased here: http://stores.ebay.com/Moon-Maiden-Jewelry

GALAXY eye makeup look

This is a look I did for Never Too Much Sparkle's themed showcase: GALAXY!  I had so many ideas for this one, but really had no idea how to make them come to life. I honestly attempted several different looks and ended up wiping the makeup off over and over. My problem was trying to make the look wearable and in doing so, made them awfal to me. However, this look that I ended up being pleased with, really could have been wearable if I didn't do some much below the eye and if I added some liner and lashes. This looks so much better in person. For those of you that do use glitter, know how difficult it is to photograph. So know that this was extremely sparkly and really amazing. :-)

There was a photo of a type of glaxy that inspired this look but I can't seem to find it now. :-(  Was basically a dark, almost black space with a very bright center with multi colours dotted outward.  Was very beautiful. If I find it, I will add it later.

Blurry to show zee spahkles!

NOTD: NYX Girls - Smoldering Nail Polish

This is an interesting colour. It seems to be a brown base with a slight red/purple hue, finished with gray shimmer. I ended up liking this a lot more than I thought I would.

FIERCE Green, Blue and Teal + glitter makeup look with Morgana Cryptoria

This is a look I did for Never Too Much Sparkle's themed showcase: FIERCE! While I see fierce as being more of an attitude and not so much a look, the attitude can be applied to a look. For me, I wanted this look to be about fierce eyes, so I kept the lips very toned down and used a lippy that is paler than my actual lip colour. I REALLY love this look.

NOTD: ORLY - Out of This World

I tried to see if wearing a black base with Out of This World on top would have the same look as 3 coats of it alone, but I was wrong. The duochrome totally was lost and just turned out looking like a dark sparkly purple. I now know not to do that!

I achieved this look with:
1 coat of Avon's NAIL EXPERTS Smooth Beginnings Base Coat
2 coats China Glaze - Liquid Leather
1 coat ORLY - Out of this world
1 coat of Avon's NAIL EXPERTS UV Gloss Guard Top Coat
