Pink and Purple Makeup look with Sobe Botanicals

This look is from last Saturday and I wore it for a wedding. I got lotsa compliments. :-)  These photos were taken by the end of the day after the wedding, which was pretty late. My hair looks a little frazzled and my lipstick is mostly gone. But my skin and eyeshadow still look pretty good so I thought I should share. :-)

Chafing Relief Powder-Gel (applied to upper lid, blending in gently with ring finger)

Sobe Stick It! base (applied all around the eyes patting then rubbing in gently with ring finger)

Sobe - Just Beachy (applied under brow with MAC 217 by patting, sweeping and blending downward)

Sobe - Perennial (applied to inner corner/V with MAC 228 by patting)

Sobe - Black Widow (applied in a circular motion to crease with MAC 217 by patting then swirling) 

Sobe - Pandora's Box (applied to halo around Black Widow with MAC 239 by patting/sweeping blending into Black Widow) 

Sobe - Deceit (applied to middle of upper lid and lower lash line with MAC 239 by patting/sweeping outward)

Kryolan Aqua Color liner - black (applied wet with water, using MAC 210 on upper lash line winging outward) 

Cover Girl Volume exact mascara in Very Black (lower lashes)

Ardell lashes #113

Eyebrows: Ardell brow powder in soft black (applied with MAC 266)

Lips: Sobe Lipstick in Purple Rain (looks pink as it was mostly worn off from drinking/eating and I didn't bother to reapply)

Face: Skin MD Shielding lotion

Sobe Powder Foundation in Light Warm (applied with a flat top taklon buffer brush to face and neck)
Physicians Formula Healthy Wear SPF 50 Powder - Translucent Light (applied with a flocked sponge by patting, then blending in) 

Sobe Duochrome Blush - After All (applied to apples of cheeks with an angled blush brush)

Fun Photoshoot of me and the hubby

My husband and I had a fun photoshoot done recently. I thought I would share the photos with you. :-)

The shoot was done in Boulder, CO at Chautauqua park.  This is one of our favourite hiking and picnic locations. It's so gorgeous and has many awesome trails. I was wearing heels and had to hike just a short distance in them. Hee hee!

What I look like when working on swatches...

No, not trying to start a weird trend. Just sharing with you how I tend to look on days when doing swatches.  I love it when the mail man comes to the door and I have to sign for a package looking like this. I'd totally appreciate if he'd crack a joke but he never does! Just smiles and is nice as usual.

No face makeup...just one eye/brow done and wearing lipstick (on seriously dry lips!)

Gay Pride Rainbow Makeup look with Morgana Cryptoria

This weekend was Gay Pride Fest. I'm not gay myself, but I wanted to do a rainbow look anyway to show my support. :-)  I did a very blended rainbow rather than keeping the colours separated. I would have worn this to the fest if I went. Maybe next year!
The colours I used for this look are gold/yellow, pinky/orange, bright red, fuschia, grape/purple, blue, teal and green. That's not the basic primary colour rainbow, but I really wanted to colours to blend seamlessly.
I applied a lot of iridescent glitter to the outer eye socket area, but unfortunately the camera doesn't pick it up very well.

NOTD: Sally Hansen Nail Prisms - Pink Rose Diamond

I must admit I haven't worn pink nail polish since I was a tiny kid. I've hated pink most of my life. I don't hate it now, but I'm still not very fond of it in some things. I'll wear pink makeup (love pink glitter and eyeshadow!), but I don't own any pink clothes and nothing in my house is pink. I've always been more drawn to red. LOVE red and wine colours.

I'm wearing this pink polish as it was a gift from the hubby (he ordered it from eBay and I did not pick it out). As soon as I was done putting it on, I went to show him. He immediately asked, "is that the one I got you?" :-)  At least he cares that I bother to use/wear things he gets me.  I don't think I'd like this polish if it wasn't for the beautiful rainbow sparkles. :-D  He knows I like sparkles!

I applied 1 coat of Avon's NAIL EXPERTS Smooth Beginnings Base Coat, 3 coats of Pink rose diamond and 1 coat of Avon's NAIL EXPERTS UV Gloss Guard Top Coat. Using Avon's base and top coat has helped my polish last at least 4 days with no chipping. That says a lot since I work with my hands daily (I hand craft jewelry for a living in case you didn't know). When I clean my house, I wear those handy rubber gloves to keep my skin from drying out but it really helps the polish last longer too.

Summer Beach Makeup look with Archetype Cosmetics

I've been browsing the internet looking for some beach makeup looks. I can't find anything that really screams BEACH. When I think of the beach, warm sand, golden sun and sparkling water comes to mind. So I wanted to create a look that sort of represents those elements.
